Top 22 ECI Highlights of 2022

We can’t believe it’s already the end of 2022! This past year has been full of excitement with projects closing out, new ones beginning, and several company events in between. As we prepare for 2023, we’re looking back on the top 22 highlights of 2022.

1. Completed Arkins Promenade

We finished this iconic project over the summer, and since then it has been dubbed as one of Denver’s most unique outdoor spaces. The promenade combines recreation and the natural environment in a linear park along the South Platte River and includes an elevated walkway with seating areas, outdoor classrooms, and viewing platforms 16 feet above the river bank.

2. Celebrated Mast Stepping Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial is an iconic space at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton, and the Mast Stepping Ceremony gathered project partners, Adams County commissioners, and members of the U.S. military for a moving tribute.

3. Raised $28,000 for the Aims Foundation at the ECI 4th Annual Golf Tournament

Thank you to the sponsors and partners who participated in ECI’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament in September. Because of their support, the tournament raised $28,000 for the Aims Foundation’s Construction Trades Scholarship.

4. Completed Kenney’s Run Greenway

This project removed much of the Molson Coors property from the 100-year flood plain, which positively impacted this flood plain along Ford Street. The project created a wider sidewalk on the east side of Ford Street, and the channel bottom featured naturalistic landscaping.

5. Participated in CSU Career Fairs

It was great to be back at CSU and participate in the Department of Construction Management’s spring and fall career fairs. We met with numerous promising candidates and are confident the future is bright for the Colorado construction industry.

6. Broke Ground on Cheyenne-Arapaho Park

This 4.6-acre park in Arapahoe County will include a community garden, off-leash dog area, natural play area with extended cottonwood creek bed, and multiple picnic and shade areas. The park will benefit residents by supporting quality of life and providing additional opportunities for recreation and nature experiences close to home.

7. Celebrated Summer at Company TopGolf Event

We don’t often get the opportunity to gather as an entire company, so it’s extra special when we do. We celebrated the summer with an employee outing to TopGolf in Thornton and enjoyed sharpening our skills and great company.

8. Completed Erie Community Park Final Phase

ECI completed Erie Community Skate Park in 2013, and we were contracted to finish the final phase eight years later. This last stretch includes basketball courts, a sledding hill, restroom buildings, shade structures, and many more amenities.

This event gathered more than 500 high school students from school districts in Larimer and Weld Counties and more than 200 industry professionals for a day of career exploration.

10. Made Significant Progress on Englewood Parks Renovations
