ECI Site Construction Management is proud to announce that Willow Bend Park, located on E. 1st Street in Loveland, is now open to the public. This iconic outdoor space marked its completion with a grand opening celebration held on June 5 that gathered City of Loveland officials, numerous construction partners, and eager members of the community.
Willow Bend Park is unique in that it provides universal access so visitors of all ages and abilities can connect to the outdoors and enjoy its many features. Spanning 163 acres, the park includes a climbing tower, swings, carousels, concrete slides, zip lines and more, all of which are accessible by paved ramps or smooth surfaces. Additional aspects of the space include a smaller “sensory friendly” play area shielded from noise by a large vegetation area, as well as an expansive natural area, featuring trails and seating areas. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic plaza, charging stations for assistive devices, and accessible restrooms.
This project is the realization of years of vision for an all-inclusive play space. The idea was first proposed in 2014, and after a decade of securing funding and the property, it broke ground in 2024. The park is already garnering much acclaim for its commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the parks and recreation sphere.
Willow Bend Park came into fruition thanks to the dedication of several key players: City of Loveland Parks and Recreation (owner), ECI (general contractor), Dig Studio (architect), Muller Engineering (engineer), and a strategic group of subcontractors and community partners.
It was an honor to bring this inclusive outdoor space to Loveland, and we can’t wait to see the many ways it will serve our community for years to come.
