ECI completed The Green at 38th in September 2025 for the City of Wheat Ridge with The Architerra Group serving as the landscape architect. It is the first new park built in Wheat Ridge since 2014 and serves as a downtown civic gathering area.
The 2.8 acre site includes several unique elements, such as the relocation of the Stevens Elementary School parking lot, roofed stage structure for concerts and entertainment, san-o-let enclosure, landscape improvements and event lawn, accessible playground with custom play elements, gas firepit with gathering areas, walks and plazas using artful paving, brick and stone masonry, and utility relocation and coordination.
The park incorporates numerous fascinating aspects, including the tallest playground structure in Wheat Ridge, as well as a community celebration wall, which highlights the city’s history. The Owl Tiles on the wall are preserved from the City’s original school, which was built in 1873.
During this high-profile project, ECI encountered existing unknown foundations that required extensive expertise to resolve. Our team additionally managed the coordination of numerous subcontractors to successfully deliver this project with the utmost quality. We are proud to bring this incredible amenity to the Wheat Ridge community.
