Downtown Fort Morgan

Flooding of Fort Morgan’s Main Street and two dated downtown blocks meant the city’s thoroughfare needed infrastructure and street improvements. This project was completed in just 88 days, with businesses remaining open and minimal traffic congestion.

ECI installed a waterline, storm drains, concrete sidewalks, 17,000 square feet of permeable pavers to assist with water drainage, fly ash sub-grade stabilization and asphalt roadways. All of these installations were in addition to the downtown-area beautification efforts. This project received the 2009 Project of the Year Award from the American Public Works Association (APWA) – Colorado Chapter.
