Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park
Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park is a 75-acre natural area with multiple trails. Due to urbanization and increase in storm runoff, there had been significant stream erosion, loss of vegetation and infrastructure damage. ECI partnered with five governmental agencies for this project.
Constant erosion control measures ensured that site improvements were completed with minimal land/creek disturbance. A mile-long channel was created to divert Cherry Creek, rock was installed in the original channel area, and more than 12,000 cubic yards of concrete grade control structures were placed.
