SITE WORK ALONG CHERRY CREEK

DENVER, CO

Extensive River Site Work

This project took place in two phases and involved extensive sitework along Cherry Creek. Project elements included more than 8,000 LF of channel and bank grading, equaling a little over 10,000 CY of earthwork; about 5,000 CY of soil rip and void fill rip rap; more than 16,000 SF wetland sod; and 250,000 SF of erosion blanket installed – both Koir 1200 and Neia C400B.

ECI built four ungrouted boulder drop structures and self-performed all earthwork. Throughout construction, ECI managed 10 times the normal winter flow, due to Cherry Creek Reservoir release all winter, and we strategically scheduled operations to drastically minimize impact on nearby residents.
