150-Acre Flagship Park
The Margaret Carpenter Park project was a CM/GC project completed over three phases. The collaboration between the City of Thornton, DHM, and JVA led to a wish list brought to life. This 150-acre park – considered Thornton’s flagship park – includes numerous unique features: Basketball and tennis courts, carousel, boat rental house and dock, bocce ball and shuffleboard courts, professional sand volleyball pit, horseshoe pits, 500-seat amphitheater, skate park, playground, splash park.
Additional site construction included asphalt parking, water utilities, curb/gutter, stormwater system, sanitary sewer utilities, irrigation pumping system, and $1.5 million of landscape and irrigation.
