Foreman
Reports to: Superintendent
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
Position Description:
The ideal candidate will be a self-directed, experienced equipment operator who also has experience as a Foreman. Foreman position preferred to have previous experience in construction that includes multifaceted civil work including urban drainage, utility, roadway, bridge, and large acreage park development.
Equipment proficiency at a minimum should include:
- Skid steer
- Loader
- Excavator
Essential Functions:
- Scheduling assistance
- Subcontractor coordination/accountability
- Laborer scheduling/direction
- Assist in maintaining safety on the project by verifying that each employee knows the safety practices required by his position and conducting daily safety inspections of the project
- Competent in Survey layout
- Project Tracking including daily logs, SWMP, Materials, and equipment
- Quality control tracking (materials testing, subgrade testing, etc.)
- Ability to read plans and interpret details
- Begin learning how to use Procore for project tracking and documentation.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of construction techniques
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, a CDL is a plus.
- The ability to read and understand plans and project details
- General knowledge of proper equipment operation
- General equipment mechanical knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of construction safety practices
- Effective leadership
- Good communication skills, face to face, phone conversations, email, text
