ECI’S 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Raises $22,000 for the Aims Foundation
We are thrilled to announce that our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success! Not only did we have the chance to catch up with many of our friends who we haven’t seen in more than a year, but the event raised $22,000 for the Aims Foundation’s construction trades scholarship program. The Aims Foundation is the charitable arm of Aims Community College, and all funds raised will help offset expenses for the next generation of construction leaders. The tournament brought in nearly double what was raised in years’ past, and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of our partners and sponsors.
“I am humbled by the tremendous support that made this year’s tournament a huge success,” said Ted Johnson, president of ECI. “ECI’s business is built upon partnerships among our people, our community, and our industry. It is important now more than ever to invest in the future workforce development in Northern Colorado, and Aims Community College is one avenue that provides tangible skills that are so vital to the construction industry.”
The tournament took place on Friday, Aug. 20 at Pelican Lakes Resort & Golf in Windsor and rallied the support of 25 sponsors that contributed immensely to the total amount raised. These funds will go towards numerous aspects of construction students’ education, including books, attendance costs, tuition, fees, etc. During times of economic uncertainty, assisting future careers in the construction industry is more important than ever.
“The Aims Foundation sincerely appreciates the collaborative partnership with ECI and the construction trades industry,” said Kelly Jackson, Executive Director of the Aims Foundation. “Funds from the annual ECI golf tournament directly support scholarships for Aims construction trades students. Thank you to all who supported this event and were key to making an investment in the future of Aims students, our community and our workforce.”
