New Multi-Use Park

Railbender Skate & Tennis Park is a $3.4M lighted athletic complex in Parker, Colorado that sits next to Cherry Creek. A 36,000-square-foot concrete skate park and six post tension slab tennis courts anchor the 6.5-acre park. Additional amenities include a children’s playground, shade structures, restrooms, a trailhead to the Cherry Creek Regional Trail and 68 on-site parking spaces. The skate park features a flow bowl, street plaza and small peanut bowl for beginners. In an innovative twist, the skate park’s centerpiece is a ‘skateable’ art piece shaped like Colorado’s rugged mountains and a state flag etched in the concrete. In addition to construction of the skate park and tennis courts, the 4-month project included:

  • Expansion of existing quality water pond
  • 1,200 linear feet of concrete trails
  • All sports lighting
  • Four pre-fab shade shelters
  • 3,500-square-foot playground
  • Storm sewer system
