Moving Fort Collins Forward
MAX Bus Rapid Transit is the largest infrastructure project in Fort Collins’ history, linking the city’s South neighborhoods to popular Old Town five miles north. For the monumental project, ECI built 12 passenger stations, with each station featuring artwork and design that complements nearby architecture. During construction, limited access meant each steel structure was fabricated offsite, then transported to its assigned location and installed. ECI achieved 100% fitting success with each station. During the 16-month project, ECI excavated each site, laid foundation, installed 12 steel structures, performed masonry work and completed all pavers/tiles on the finished structures. Today, thousands of riders each month catch the eco-friendly buses at the stations.
